Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This policy explains what the Jamqor app and this website collect about you, why, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. Jamqor is run by Brunotech Private Limited, a company registered in India, which decides why and how your data is used (the "Data Fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). "We" and "us" mean Brunotech Private Limited.
1. This website
jamqor.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no advertising. Our hosting and network provider, Cloudflare, receives your internet address and the page you asked for in order to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks; it keeps that briefly in its own logs. If you email us, we receive your address and what you write, and we keep it as long as we need to answer and as the law requires.
2. What the app collects, and why
The Jamqor app is not out yet. This section describes what it will collect when it is.
Your account
- Phone number. We sign you in with a one-time code sent to your number on WhatsApp or by SMS. We keep your number encrypted, with a one-way code to find your account; we never keep the sign-in code itself.
- Email. We ask for it after you sign up and send one link to confirm it. A confirmed email gets your receipts and invoices, safety notices (such as a new device signing in), decisions on your reports and appeals, and the code that gets your account back if you lose your number. The weekly digest goes only if you turn it on. We never show your email on your profile.
- Your profile. Your @handle, name, photo, bio, city and state, and your age (you tell us at sign-up). Your handle, name, photo and bio are public; a private account shows its posts only to people you approve.
Why: to give you an account and keep it secure, which is needed to provide the service you signed up for, and to keep the invoices tax law requires.
What you post and do
- Posts, photos, videos, comments, and your view of whether a post is right; who you follow, and what you save.
- Views. We count how often a post is seen. For adults, we keep which posts you viewed on which day for 90 days, to count how many different people a post reached and to show pages totals of their audience (never who). Groups of fewer than 10 people are never shown on their own.
- Search. What you type is used to find results and then forgotten; it is never stored on our servers. Your last few searches stay on your own device.
- Messages. Direct messages in Jamqor are carried and stored by Kattx, our messaging service.
Why: to show your posts to the people you chose, build your feed from the topics you pick, and show people how far their posts go.
Your devices and sign-ins
When you sign in we record the device (its model and maker, or browser and system, the app version), the internet address it used and the city that address points to, so you can see where you are signed in and so we can stop someone else using your account. We do not collect your device's IMEI, serial number or advertising ID. Before we send a code we check the request really comes from our app (Google reCAPTCHA on the web, Google Play Integrity on Android).
Why: keeping your account secure and preventing fraud.
Payments, Plus and pages
- If you pay (Plus, promoting a post, a page's plan), we keep what it was for, the amount and tax, the state used for the tax, when it happened and the payment provider's references. Your card, UPI or bank details go to the payment provider on its own page; we never see them.
- If you make a business or organisation page, we keep what you send to verify it (such as a GSTIN, Udyam number or CIN) and who manages the page.
- If you answer a page's form (for example "Get a quote"), we pass that page your name, contact and message only after you agree to it in so many words.
Why: to take payments, keep fake pages out, and keep the tax records the law requires.
3. How posts are checked
To warn people about wrong news, our staff look at posts that people report or that our tools pick out as worth a look. Our tools include Google's Gemini service, which receives the words of a post, never your name or phone number. A person on our staff decides; a tool never removes a post or marks it wrong on its own. Findings and their sources are the same for everyone. If a decision is about your post, we tell you why, and you can appeal.
4. Children and teenagers
You must be at least 13 to use Jamqor in India. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree before your account opens fully: they confirm with their own phone number, and they can take the consent back at any time, which closes the account. Under 18, your account is private, you see no ads or promoted posts, you can't make payments or pages, your views are counted without anything that says they were yours, and we never track you or your location for any other purpose.
5. Ads and promoted posts
Ads and promoted posts are always labelled. We choose them on our own servers from the topic of the posts around them and the state you are in, never from your history, and no advertiser receives anything about you. To stop one ad from following you around, we count how many times a day it was shown to you and delete that count after 30 days. People under 18 see none.
6. Who helps us
We never sell your data. These providers handle it for us, only to do their job, when that service is in use:
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Meta (WhatsApp), MSG91, Twilio, Google Firebase | Sending your sign-in code to your number |
| Google reCAPTCHA and Play Integrity | Checking a code request comes from our app |
| Brevo, Amazon Web Services (SES) | Sending our emails |
| Google Firebase Cloud Messaging | Notifications on your phone |
| Razorpay (India), Stripe (elsewhere) | Taking payments |
| Cloudflare | This website, storing photos, protecting our servers, forwarding email sent to us |
| Google (Gemini) | Helping our staff pick out posts to check, from their words only |
| Our server hosts | Running the app and its database |
Some providers handle data outside India; they do so under contract, only as Indian law allows, and must protect it at least as well as we do.
7. How long we keep it
- Your account, posts and settings: while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete them 30 days later, except what the law makes us keep.
- An account unused for 3 years is deleted, after a warning to your email.
- Registration records (your encrypted number, the internet addresses of your sign-ins and posts, and a number you changed away from): 180 days, as India's IT Rules require, then deleted unless a legal order holds them.
- Payments and invoices: as long as tax law requires (in India, at least 72 months), without your account attached once it is deleted.
- Who viewed what: 90 days. Answers to a page's form: 90 days.
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- see what we hold about you and who we share it with (in the app: Profile › Your data);
- correct or update it, and delete your account and its data (how to delete your account);
- withdraw a consent you gave (for example, leaving leaderboards or turning off the digest) as easily as you gave it;
- name someone to act for you if you die or can't act yourself;
- complain to our Grievance Officer, and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.
Write to grievance@jamqor.com for anything the app can't do for you.
9. Requests from the authorities
We answer lawful orders from courts and government agencies as Indian law requires, giving only what the order covers. Content withheld by an order is withheld in the country that issued it, unless it also breaks our rules.
10. Keeping it safe
Your phone number, email and other sensitive fields are stored encrypted; connections to the app are encrypted; only staff who need it can see personal data, and what they look at is recorded. If a breach affects you, we tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
12. Contact and grievances
Poonam Shakya, Grievance Officer, Brunotech Private Limited
She answers questions about your personal data and complaints about how we handle it.
